Articulation/Phonological Disorder

Most children make some mistakes when they are learning to say words.  A speech disorder occurs when a child has difficulty producing sounds (articulation) or sound patterns (phonological processes) past a certain age.  Whether a child’s speech is unintelligible due to numerous errors, or just not as clear as it should be, effective communication is the primary goal of all speakers.
